If you live in Scotland…..chances are you might remember the 17th of June. Because it was one of the most beautiful days of the year. We called that day Summer that year 🙂
Sunny warm, not one cloud in the sky and not one tiny drop of rain…..in other words…PERFECT!
Now imagine you would get married on a day like this? That’s exactly what Amanda and Craig did. You might remember them form the post abut their pre-wedding shoot.
The day started at the beautiful Rufflets in St. Andrews. Both the country house Hotel and the staff there were absolutely amazing. I arrived and went into a room filled with love giggles and champagne drinking women. I knew from that moment that the day will be a blast. I have photographed Amandas Hen night and can’t tell you how great it was to be able to get to know all her girlfriends before the big day. It makes things just so much more personal and easy. And at times I have to say I felt like I was just one more of the girls, laughing about little anecdotes and jokes along the morning.
Since this is Scotland, nobody could get guarantee Amanda and Craig to be able to have an outdoor ceremony, the the joy and relief when the hotel confirmed the outdoor plan just an hour or two before the ceremony was amazing!
Just before we all headed our way towards the beautiful garden. Amandas Dad came to pick her up and see her for the first time dressed all in white…his little princess….a woman to be married in a few moments…..
Boy was I happy to be able to hide my face behind the camera so nobody would see my tears….this must have been one of my favourite moments to capture this day. Together with the moment of the actual ceremony obviously, and the first dance, the second dance to Depeche Mode, the smiles, the holding hand, the love and….everything was a blast! But have a look at some more of the pictures from the day 🙂
